"Sad as anyone passing is, what a joyous life"

One of the world’s most renowned surfers died last Wednesday at Hale Makua, Kahului, The Maui News reported. Big wave surfer Woodbridge Parker “Woody” Brown was 96.

“Woody Brown was one of the first and greatest icons in the history of surfing,” Sen. Fred Hemmings said Friday. “He was the essential surfer, an iconoclast: extremely independent, futuristic and, most especially, healthy,” said Hemmings, the 1968 world surfing champion who inaugurated the world professional surfing circuit in 1975, “which explains why he lived for 96 very productive, wonderful years. And I only hope more of us who call ourselves surfers can live the way Woody lived. Sad as anyone passing is, what a joyous life.”

Woody was as diehard as they come. We here of guys surfing all day but he literally was in the water from sunrise to sunset. When he got hungry, he would be eating seaweed- one source said.

Woody would think we are crazy wasting time talking about him when we could be doing more quality things like surfing.

" and here...we....go"

Saw the Dark Knight last night. For those who have seen it will second me when i say Heath Ledgers performance was incredible slash out of this world. The critics were all right and all the hype still didnt even serve it justice... here is one of ledgers last interviews before he passed away, in regards to the new batman.

2 more days

I cant help it. Im already obsessed with the new batman, and i havent even seen it yet. I did however fandango myself a ticket for this saturday. Here is what one critic has to say about heath ledgers performance...

"It's a tribute to Ledger's indelible work that he makes the viewer entirely forget the actor behind the cracked white makeup and blood-red rictus grin, so complete and frightening is his immersion in the role. With all due respect to the enjoyable camp buffoonery of past Jokers like Cesar Romero and Jack Nicholson, Ledger makes them look like -- well, clowns." -- Justin Chang, Variety

June Bloom

so i didnt post all of June. I would use the excuse that i have been really busy, and things have been really hectic. But only part of that is true...

Anyways ill do my best to catch you up to speed on the highlights of the month.
I gotta ride spencers street bike, i dont remember the exact type but its meant to be for a tall lanky fella (about 6'5)...im about 6' and i managed to barely get by and still enjoy it all in the same moment.

Then my wonderful mom called me and invited me to go to NYC with her. I have never been to NY so i took the offer. We first went to Rochester and spent the day on the other side of the border in canada and scored a hotel room with a breathtaking view of the Niagra Falls. Then we went to Palmyra which was great. American flags on every doorway, lush rolling hills, friendly people. We got our spiritual on and went to the sacred grove, hill cumorah, B.O.M publishing site and saw the temple there. Then we were off to the city. It was pretty much everything i expected it to be. A very big melting pot, taxi drivers pretending to take the exit and whipping back onto the freeway cutting off 20 cars, lots o speed walking, yelling and horns honking. But all in all it was a great trip, great food, people, people watching, and shopping.
